The Company

My client is a specialist products manufacturer supplying into a variety of industries. They have both UK and international sites and pride themselves on exceptional levels of service which is delivered by working closely with their customers to understand the specific needs of their business.

Through continued growth and development (even during a challenging 2020) they have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Logistics Lead to take responsibility for strategic and operational logistics projects and improve results where possible.

The Role

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Logistics Lead will assist all of the logistics areas where necessary across the business and be responsible for leading the logistics team as well as all resource planning that ensures on-time delivery of customers products.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Management and control of Inventory and material flow
  • Creation of stock holding strategies
  • Data analysis & KPI reporting
  • Cost effective resource planning
  • Support of project and team meetings
  • Coaching and developing the logistics team.
  • Produce, own, and manage Logistics project plans

The Candidate

I am looking for an experienced Logistics Lead or Logistics Planner who has a relevant qualification (CILT / IoSCM) with at least 3years in a similar position, and within a manufacturing environment.

You will be proficient in logistics control processes and systems and your role will have been customer focussed, you will have a logical approach to problem resolution, and you will not be afraid to make decisions.

A proven track record of delivering to safety, quality, and cost targets is essential and previous experience of Lean Manufacturing is advantageous.
